Yap my suspicions from the first time they mentioned are now cleared. Clearly he is the artist one should stay away from.

Iori Haijima-senpai is amazing, he is just like magician. I don't blame Kazyua for wanting to hang out with him. Haijima is an artist I would definitely look up to as well. Kyo is mad jealous right now. He doesn't want Kazyua hanging out with his ex-partner. Also, it is so obvious that Kyo is the one who drew that scribble... x'D

Based on what Kyo said in the end, plus the protests against Perception Art brought up in episode 1, either Kazuya's parents were actually assassinated or the trauma of the accident was bad enough to make Kyo think so.

And if it really was an assassination, what if it was Dir. Takise's doing?

ok wow. Kyo has less and less redeeming qualities. I know it's a thing in many anime to have at least one abrasive, angry character who rarely shows a friendly side (and then everyone freaks about about it), but this takes the cake. His entire personality is basically "I hate you for a specific reason, but I won't tell you what it is so I can treat you like sh*t whenever I want and be unreasonable and rude."

I've been hoping and waiting for Kyo to get more characterization, and this was a very insightful episode. The way it looks to me, he's worried that Kazuya might go down a similar path as his parents, whose deaths scarred Kyo. That's why he keeps pushing him away; he just doesn't want to go through that again. Maybe, after the Staircaser Contest, Kyo thought Kazuya might be changing, so he let himself get closer, but then Iori happens.

I was actually hoping to see a catfight scandal. For the past few weeks, I've been fantasizing of Iori sneaking into Kyo's room one night to have a conversation. Takumi, who snuck Iori into the Graders' dorms, realized what was happening, so he starts picking the door's lock. He gets through at the same time Kazuya comes in from the window to catch Kyo and Iori within kissing distance of one another. Takumi screams "Homewrecker!" before charging at Kyo and getting tackled by Kazuya. Iori casually tells Kazuya to wrangle Takumi out of the room so he can continue talking to Kyo, who has already reached the limit of his composure and soon yelled at everyone to get out of his room. While all of this happens, Jun is watching from the Artists' dorms and calling Michitaka to go help Kazuya.

I'm so excited to see the Scribble expand in the next episode.

When Iori was laying down on his sofa at night, I thought I was gonna see the mysterious Scribbler pass by.

When the season is over, I'll definitely write a post of which StarMyu characters make up each PasCala character. For now, I can confidently say Takumi is a blend of Ageha and Tsukigami.

Until now, I thought Kazuya's parents only mentored him, Kyo, and Jun. I guess they had a class including Iori, but it's strange they don't seem to have met before high school.

Did no one else see that under the news of Iori's studio, there was a "Kaoukai vs Ancients Anime Announced"?

Around the first or second week of airing, I tweeted that Perception Art equipment should include boots, and here Iori is with his Perception Art combat boots. In that Twitter thread, I also said the Artists should dance to make Perception Art because flailing and gesturing at the air doesn't convey much and just looks weird.

WOW!!! Haijima Iori is a badass through and through! Dude is amazing at perception art and Yora is a good combo for him! Hope we get to see more of him! :)
